You have made it to the third trimester, weeks 28 through 40. The baby is really starting to develop and is growing rapidly. Your body is changing almost daily right along with the baby and now you are beginning to feel some major discomforts. Our old nemesis, morning sickness is beginning to raise its ugly head again.
Not every woman experiences the same things. For some it may be some general aches and pains in the knees and back. Your feet are probably bothering you more than anything else and then here come those morning sickness feelings again. Most morning sickness is thought about in the first trimester. However, it is not uncommon to have morning sickness in the third trimester as well.
What causes morning sickness? Well, there are numerous things that can be traced to the cause of morning sickness. And along with each of them, it is important to note that each case is different. In other words, every pregnant woman experiencing this may have a distinct cause that another woman may not have at all.
What causes morning sickness in some cases are hereditary-related issues. In other cases, it can be because a woman is susceptible to certain things enhanced by pregnancy. One common morning sickness cause originates with women who previously had problems conceiving. Women in this group more than likely went through some sort of hormone therapy which has been linked to causing morning nausea.
Pregnancy morning sickness for some women isn't just morning sickness, but it is morning, noon, and night sickness. You are sick all the time, and all you want to do is crawl back into bed. When you aren't hugging the toilet, you are trying to figure out what you can eat so that you won't end up right back in the bathroom. There are a number of different types of pregnancy symptoms and whether or not you suffer from any of them is very much dependent on the individual mother-to-be. The majority of women find that their sickness subsides after the first few weeks of pregnancy but others have the nausea for longer. The bad news is that the exact cause of morning sickness is unknown, but most medical experts would agree that its triggered by hormonal changes in the body which especially increase the hCG (human chorionic gonadottrophin). The high levels of this particular hormone are though to stimulate the brain which controls the nausea and vomiting.
There are currently no drugs approved by the FDA for this debilitating condition of pregnancy, however , the good news is that there are several dietary, lifestyle and very effective all-natural approaches that can help.Keep your doctor informed of any changes in your condition throughout your pregnancy. Even the smallest of details need to be brought to the attention of your OB/GYN. Most doctors trust the instincts of their mothers since they know their body better than anyone else. Persistent vomiting at anytime needs to be addressed by your doctor. Vomiting could be due to a virus and not morning sickness and vomiting is more hazardous to your hydration and nutrition than anything else.
